The effect — what they see
You take a borrowed coin balanced on a single card and carry it to your table without ever closing your hand over it. You openly tip the coin off the card into a glass, pointing out that your fingers never touched it. To the audience the coin in the glass is unmistakably the one they lent you, when in fact it has already been quietly exchanged for a duplicate.

A little rehearsal will do it; nothing difficult to handle. It uses a prepared or special pack — see Quick Facts.
