The effect — what they see
A spectator cuts a shuffled-looking deck, secretly counts off a few cards, and peeks the bottom one before reassembling, all while your back is turned. You deal cards into a circle with four in the center, hover dramatically, and uncover a card whose value names both how many they counted and where in the circle their glimpsed card now sits.

A little rehearsal will do it; nothing difficult to handle. It needs a full pre-arranged stack before you perform.

Sensitive Thoughts
Two spectators each merely think of something in a half-deck, and you divine both a freely chosen number's card and a freely thought-of card's position.
Six Piles
A spectator hides a card among six piles, and you reveal it as if reading their mind.
Diabolical Transposition
Two spectators mentally pick cards from packets they hold, yet those cards vanish and reappear in two other packs.
